The George W Bush administration plans to launch an air strike against Iran within the next two months, an informed source tells Asia Times Online, echoing other reports that have surfaced in the media in the United States recently.

Two key US senators briefed on the attack planned to go public with their opposition to the move, according to the source, but their projected New York Times op-ed piece has yet to appear.

This shit is making my head spin. To be sure, most predictions of a "when" nature on an Iran attack are wrong; even Bob Baer, CIA insider, called it for February and obviously has been wrong(unless you count the black ops we run currently iniside Iran's borders). Several analysts and paranoids have suggested an October Surprise that may fill the electorate with fear and tip the election to the War Party. Like the Clinton campaign, I'm hoping that Cheney realizes he's dead on this one, and will go to the light-where he will be sent straight to Hell, hopefully to be sucked off by Helen Thomas for eternity-who will be visiting from Heaven just to torture that evil fuck.
