Matin Luther King Jr., surely one of if not the greatest Americans who ever lived, wrote ten commandments for Iraq. He was prepared to deliver them in a speech, but he died, and Coretta Scott King retrieved the notes from his pocket. It is, or should be well known now that MLK was turning his sights on bigger game like class inequality, and the police state unfolding in the United States. Above all that is why the good doctor was murdered-it's alright for the uppity nigger to cry freedom for his brethren, unless those brethren include the entire lower class of America. Here's Dr. King's commandments, which as Tabacco says can be updated to Iraq. I'll do that for him, since you can read the original at his site.
TEN COMMANDMENTS ON IRAQ
1 - Thou shalt not believe in a military victory!
2 - Thou shalt not believe in a political victory!
3 - Thou shalt not believe that they, the Iraqis, love us!
4 - Thou shalt not believe that the Green Zone government has the support of the people!
5 - Thou shalt not believe that the majority of the Iraqis look upon the Mahdi Army as terrorists!
6 - Thou shalt not believe the figures of killed enemies or killed Americans!
7 - Thou shalt not believe that the generals know best!
8 - Thou shalt not believe that the enemy's victory means terrorism!
9 - Thou shalt not believe that the world supports the United States!
10 - Thou shalt not kill!
Today, we founder because we lack this kind of leadership. Someday, perhaps, we will all be imbued with these simple truths. They can't kill us all-Gandhi showed this to be true in India.
