My Liberal Identity:

You are a Peace Patroller, also known as an anti-war liberal or neo-hippie. You believe in putting an end to American imperial conquest, stopping wars that have already been lost, and supporting our troops by bringing them home.

Mmmmm, More Toasty Good Fascist Idolatry

posted Thursday, 11 October 2007

More flag derangement in the news:

The Mexican flag flies no more over the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum — and the U.S. flag is gone, too.

The museum's board of trustees voted to remove the flags — which had flown side-by-side since 1954 — after receiving complaints and threats about flying the Mexican flag.

As Tbogg has shown in his post, the Sonoran Desert stretches across both the United States and Mexico.

Museum employees were receiving three to five complaints a week from visitors about the presence and height of the Mexican flag, which flew at the same position as the U.S. flag, said museum spokesman Tim Vimmerstedt.

I'm really trying to figure out WHO THE HELL CARES ABOUT THIS KIND OF CRAP. I don't exactly live near the border, but Jesus Louise Mother Of Mary there's a patently obvious reason why both flags were up there. In the interest of balance, let's ask Jiggle Billy what he has to say:

"Hey, Ernesto, before you start calling people “xenophobes” and such, perhaps you might tell us how many American flags are on display in museums down in that puke hole known as Mexico. This is the United States and the more Mexican flags I see removed, the happier I’ll be!"
